Is this actually free?
Yes. Year-level filtered summaries, all key dates, and WhatsApp sharing are free forever. No credit card required. Premium ($12/term or $35/year) adds ⚡ Need to Know action lists, Smart Calendar, dinner table questions, keyword alerts, multilingual digests, and multi-school support. Cancel anytime -- your free features stay even if you cancel. Early Access subscribers get everything free.
How do you get the newsletter?
We monitor your school's newsletter automatically. You never need to forward anything. When a new edition is published, we detect it, summarise it, and send your personalised digest.
Is this affiliated with my school?
No. School Scoop is an independent service built by parents. We are not endorsed by, sponsored by, or formally connected to any school. We simply read publicly available newsletters and summarise them for families.
What if I can't find my school?
Search for any Australian school by name. We scan thousands of schools and automatically detect their newsletter. If yours isn't set up yet, we'll find and add it when you search. No links or manual steps needed.
What about the calendar?
Every digest includes key dates pulled from the newsletter. Free digests include every key date in a clear list. Premium subscribers get Smart Calendar -- dates pushed to your phone calendar automatically, plus predicted events from your school's history. Sports days, excursions, curriculum days, and more appear right alongside your own events. Our system also learns your school's patterns from past years, so even dates the newsletter forgets still show up.
Will the AI get things wrong?
Occasionally, yes. AI summarisation is very good but not perfect. Every digest includes a direct link to the full original newsletter so you can always check. We also run quality checks on every summary before it goes out.
Can my family members see this too?
Yes. Forward the digest to anyone, or share key points in your class WhatsApp group. Family members who want their own personalised digest can sign up with their own email.
