Whole-school updates

  • Principal's Report: Our principal, Alan, reflected on a term packed with energy and achievement. He gave a huge shout-out to everyone involved in the spectacular production of 'Grease', celebrated the success of Asia Week and sporting events, and commended the senior students for their focus during exams. Best wishes to the students and staff heading off on the Central Australia tour! He encourages all students to use Semester 2 as a fresh start.
  • Parent-Teacher Interviews: Mark your calendars! Parent-Teacher interviews are scheduled for Monday, 24 August. It's a great opportunity to connect with teachers and support your child's learning.
  • 'Grease' Was the Word!: A massive congratulations to the 130+ students and dedicated staff who brought the college musical 'Grease' to life. The show was a tremendous success, playing to sold-out audiences and showcasing the incredible talent at Dromana.
  • Sporting Superstars: What a term for sport! Dromana was crowned the overall winning school at both the SPD Cross Country and the SPD Athletics competitions. An incredible 50 students progressed to the Regional Cross Country, with five qualifying for the State Championships next term. At the Athletics, 68 students won their events to qualify for the Regional competition. Just amazing.
  • Aerobics National Qualifiers: The aerobics teams had a sensational weekend of competition, bringing home 6 first-place, 3 second-place, and 1 third-place trophy. A huge congrats to the 10 teams who qualified for the National Championships in Queensland next term!
  • Debating Dominance: The debating and public speaking students have had a brilliant term. Highlights include a Year 11 student winning the Public Speaking Award at the Lions Youth of the Year State Final, and the Year 8/9 team winning a challenging debate on electric vehicles.
