  • Principal's Message: This week highlights National Refugee Week, inviting us to reflect on courage, resilience, and diversity within our community. Principal Alison has also been in discussions with Banyule City Council and Anthony Carbines MP regarding proposed developments in Heidelberg, sharing the school community's concerns about parking and traffic, and showcasing St John's vibrant learning environment.
  • School Disco Recap: 'Oh What A Night!' was a huge success, filled with laughter, dancing, and community spirit. A big thank you to our Parents in Community (PIC), staff, and volunteers, especially Suzie, Steve, and the Lynch family, for making it such a memorable event!
  • SRC Donut Day: Our SRC Donut Day is on Friday 19 June. Thank you to Nikki and Annette for coordinating this sweet treat!
  • PIC Executive Team Needed: The current PIC Executive Team (Megan, Mel, Denise, and Margie) will complete their two-year tenure at the end of this year. New volunteers are encouraged to step forward to help continue beloved school traditions like the disco and donut day.
  • Semester Reports: Teachers have been busy preparing student reports, which will be distributed on Monday 22 June. Families are encouraged to read through them together, celebrating successes and discussing future learning goals.
  • Three-Way Conversations: Parent-Teacher Interviews are scheduled for Tuesday 23 June (1:30pm-5:45pm) and Wednesday 24 June (3:30pm-6:00pm). The online booking site is now open via the code 7vcjt. Each session is 10-15 minutes, focusing on student growth and achievement. If your child doesn't attend, their work will be sent home.
