  • Awards Recap: This week, 10 students across Years 2-6 earned Class Awards, 8 students received SRC Awards for embodying school values, 21 students achieved Bronze Awards, and 5 students snagged Silver Awards! Mathematics Awards went to 2 students, and 2 students won PBL raffle prizes, with 1 student winning the Trash Free Tuesday raffle.
  • Learning Links Resources: For families needing extra support, Learning Links provides valuable early education, literacy, numeracy, communication, and psychology programs. Check out their website for resources and services.
  • NAIDOC Week Celebrations: Peakhurst Public School will celebrate NAIDOC Week during Week 11 of Term 2 (the week of Monday 29 June), honoring 50 years of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander voices. The 3 Bridges Youth and Family Day is also on Wednesday 8 July at Penshurst Park from 10am-2pm with Oztag, entertainment, and more!
  • Online Safety Update: New laws in Australia now set the minimum age for many social media platforms at 13 years or older. Parents are encouraged to monitor children's social media use, ensure younger children don't create accounts prematurely, and discuss privacy and respectful online behaviour. Resources are available on the PPS Online Safety Hub and eSafety Commissioner websites.
  • P&C News: Our Father's Day Subcommittee has already organised gifts for the Father's Day stall next term - amazing! The Second-hand Uniform Shop continues to thrive, with all items just $5 each or 2-for-$5 specials. Donations of good condition uniforms are always welcome at the Office.
  • Term 3 Student Return: Students officially return for Term 3 on Tuesday 21 July after a School Development Day on Monday 20 July.
