Whole-school updates

  • Save the Date: Our Public Education Week Open Day is on Wednesday 5 August. We'll be opening up classrooms and specialist spaces to celebrate the achievements of our students and staff. Mark your calendars!
  • Huge Thanks to our P&C President: A massive thank you to our outgoing P&C President, Meredith, for her incredible leadership from 2021 to 2025. Her dedication has led to fantastic community events like the Dance-a-Thon and Movie Nights, and tangible projects like the K-2 playground upgrade, new sports facilities, and the Fairy Garden.
  • Excursion & Incursion Payments: A friendly but firm reminder to please provide consent and payment for all school activities by the due date via School Bytes. Venues and buses need to be booked weeks in advance, and late permissions cause major headaches. Several Term 3 payments are due soon - check your emails!
  • Sick Children: As we head into winter, please keep your children home if they are showing any signs of illness like a cough, sore throat, fever, or runny nose. This helps keep our whole school community healthy.
  • NSW Public Schools Parent Survey: The school is inviting all parents and carers to complete a 10-15 minute anonymous survey about your experience at LEPS. Your feedback helps the school know what's working and where to improve.
  • Mandarin Program Update: Across the school, students are diving into Chinese culture. Early Stage 1 is learning about the legendary Hua Mulan, while Stages 1-3 are tracking the remarkable voyages of the explorer Zheng He. LOTE learners are preparing a role-play and celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival.

Reminders

  • Kindergarten-Year 1: Wed 17 Jun: attend workshop at Killara PS
  • Year 1: Thu 25 Jun: finalise museum excursion permission
  • Year 2: Fri 26 Jun: finalise museum excursion permission
