Practice exams

Unit 3/4 students completed practice exams in the second week of the holidays, with most Year 12s completing five subjects and some sitting two exams. Attendance was very high and invigilators reported students used their time well.

Learning update

During Term 3, the Year 8s worked on a poetry unit covering rhyme schemes, language features and rhythm, alongside Romantic, Gothic and Indigenous poetry. Students wrote a collection of three poems and submitted their favourite with a commentary on its main ideas.

School notices

In the Australian Mathematics Competition, 62 students competed this year. One student received a Prize, awarded to the top 0.3% of students in Australia who sit the competition each year, with prize winners receiving a voucher from the Australian Maths Trust.
