Whole-school updates

  • Parent/Carer Opinion Survey: All families are encouraged to complete the survey through Compass by Friday 18 September. The school requests one submission per household. Families who need help can ask at the office, assembly or Breakfast Club.
  • Book Week: The school calendar lists Book Week from Monday 24 to Friday 28 August, with the parade on Friday 28 August. Families are welcome to watch.
  • Swimming: The program is compulsory and requires parent consent. Families may volunteer to walk classes to the pool by contacting the school. Pack bathers, a plastic bag, a towel, dry underwear and waterproof footwear each day. Please have your child wear their bathers under their school clothes when they come to school. Labelling all items your child brings to the pool is recommended because belongings can be misplaced or left behind. Goggles are strongly recommended and a swimming cap is optional. Parent consent is required. If a child will not swim, the child will still travel with the class, and consent is required for them to attend the venue.
  • Junior Sports Day: Prep to Year 2 Sports Day is Wednesday 9 September at Princes Park. House colours are encouraged, and family volunteers may contact the school.
  • Science Week: Students joined science quizzes and lunchtime STEM clubs. The butterflies were still waiting to emerge from their chrysalises when the newsletter was published.
  • Class continuity: Staff absence can mean a class is split across other rooms for the day.
